Mainely Men Board Meeting Minutes - January 13, 2007

1.Minutes from October mtg. were made available after the meeting and were approved
2.Financial report from Jack Weinstein was reviewed and accepted.
3.Roy Nelles will be Pinky at Mainely Men 51.
4.Mainely Men 51 theme is "Brother Can You Spare Some Time".
5.Each Board member will present a workshop. A synopsis of the workshop needs
to be forwarded to the workshop coordinator well in advance of the gathering so it
can be posted on the website. Alan will look up the workshop coordinator and let
all Board members know who it is.
6.Dates for the next 2 gatherings are:
a.Mainely Men 51 May 18-20
b.Mainely Men 52 October 5-8
7.Maintaining Sunday Reunion at fall conference-The group discussed the
importance of the Reunion circle that was done and the desire to continue that in
the fall for MM 52. In a related issue: Alan stated that the DVD release is
imminent and we will have to see about reproductions of those for members who
want it and a nominal fee to cover costs. Keith offered to work with Alan on this
project.
8.Board Members & their membership terms were discussed. Prospective Board
members were discussed and some of the men being considered had not been
attending regularly and that were deemed necessary. Guy Cousins stated that he
was interested & available for a term on the Board. Voting members voted him on
as a Board Member. Robert Paradis gave an update on the Board member
notebooks; he has 5 of the 6 (the notebook assigned to Jim Fotter is the one
assumed missing). He is working on updating these for all Board members.
9.Public Relations & Media: Guy shared that he had expanded access to a media list
for Radio & Television stations to send out PSA to for the upcoming MM 51.
10.Brochures were worked on and finalized to go to the printers.
11.Alan will be working on Merchandise development: DVD, lapel pin, bumper
stickers, product line with a timeline of development for summer '07
12.There was some discussion about the website to put the workshops that Board
members were doing on the website to help spur additional thoughts about
workshops to be offered as well as the weekend schedule. There was some brief
discussion regarding PalPal. Jack will follow up with the group.
13.There was some talk about California Men's Group and ongoing programs but
nothing was finalized in this discussion
14.Our next meeting is tentatively scheduled for March 24th; however, we will not
meet unless there is a need.
