Minutes:

New Board Members:
Created list of 11 individuals to ask to become board members and divided up calling them.
Meeting:
Next meeting scheduled at Steven Mairs on Saturday evening, September 22nd 2006 (Common Ground Fair weekend).
Board Term Limit Amendment:
Board accepted policy/guideline that board members can hold two consecutive terms, voted on each time, then need to take a break from service for at least one year. They can then be asked and voted back on again.
Pinky Guideline:
Board accepted policy/guideline that Pinky is elected at the discretion of the board, does not have to be a board member, and is never elected to serve for two retreats in a row.
Complaints:
Discussed complaints to the board about incident at MM49 and in past cultural events. Board decided that needs to be read about behavior prior to event and that empowering the MC, Pinky, and Workshop Coordinator in their positions can prevent inappropriate (offensive) incidents. Job descriptions of these positions need to be added to binders.
DECISION MADE TO HAVE ALL BOARD MEMBERS AND OTHERS WITH BINDERS TO BRING THEM TO MM50 SO WORK CAN BEGIN MAKING THEM MORE FUNCTIONAL.
Robert Paridis will e-mail those who made complaints to the board to explain to them what the board is doing. Stephen is organizing a workshop to write a banner that describes MM’s position in relation to creating a safe environment.
Post Card:
Reviewed and accepted MM50 postcard with amendments

Pay Pal:
Board authorized Registrar, Web master, and Treasurer to set up a Pay pal account.
Roy will call Vince to request he set up Pay Pal on the web site. Vince will need to get tracking numbers from Jack and inform Guy of this change.
Minutes:
Roy will send Vince minutes from previous meeting (Spring 06) to be posted on the web site.
Fee Schedule:
MM 50 Celebratory Dinner Event fee set at $25
Discussed and agreed to keep fee schedule for retreats the same. Board felt it is a high quality weekend for a low cost.
T-Shirts:
Board discussed t-shirts for MM 50 and decided to use classic MM design, not to put on #, and to use one color (forest green) ink on gray cloth. “Mainely Men” will be written over the drawing of the lodge on the back. Front will have the a small logo near where a breast pocket would usually be located (however there is no pocket). Steven will facilitate the production of the shirt.
Meeting adjourned
Respectfully submitted by Roy Nelles
